Brownies
Classic fudgy brownies with optional chocolate chips.

Ingredients
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup (35g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9 inch pan.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt. Fold into wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour into pan; smooth top. Bake 20–25 min until a toothpick has a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
